I get that Misty was embarrassed. However, I feel she handled that poorly.
What Cot did, was natural. Nothing wrong…however yeeeah he should have waited til later at home in his room. [But he’s a young growing boy. He’ll look back at this and hopefully have a good chuckle.]
Misty firing that shot about Kyle not being a parent was not only low, but uncalled for. No one is Born knowing how to parent. And when you do have kids, you don’t parent the same as the next person.
And yeah She’s not a parent either.
She needs to let her embarrassment go and just…well accept it as a young boy’s compliment. And talk to him later on.
Let him know that she’s flattered, but yanno…not appropriate sort of thing.
I love Misty, I really do…but sometimes I really think she’s a little too uptight and needs to learn how to relax, in her own way.
The bra hat thing was something she did with her husband, though.
Glad you caught that. 😉
Yeah, as a widow, seeing Cot do something like that so unexpectedly probably penetrated a soft spot and hit poor Misty where she lives. As badly as I feel for what Cot is going through, Misty must have got it worse. No wonder she overreacted.
The nice thing about Misty is that she’s not perfect. And she learns from her mistakes. It’s hard to say what one would do in her position. She reacted in the heat of the moment, but I imagine after thinking about it, she’d come around.
Hate no. Pissed yes.
Katalina’s comment is on point, but it lift out one detail Misty is kind of prudish. So her reaction was maybe all she could muster in the moment.
He was a true uncle. He did right by the youngster.
….annnd that’s why as someone who is actually built like Misty I would never imagine doing something so relationship ruining, not just with that young boy, with anyone. All sorts of impulses come up in people, I’ve been carrying “them” around most of my life and know there are better ways to deal with the issue.
I don’t think she was as harsh with Cot as folks may think she was. She was likely much harder on Lyle because he’s the adult and didn’t want to yell at the kid.
She was probably just freaking out and was needing to vent somehow. Both Lyle and Misty were kinda doing the low-blow thing to each other. 🙁
Lyle is not a parent, misty’s not a parent, we’re all not parents really. Only time, good advice, and life experiences can make us that way. We’re all imperfect, making mistakes is apart of life, and makes us humans more humane. We learn from are actions, for good or bad!
